This is a big cave temple dedicated to Lord
Karpaga Vinayaka (Lord Ganesh) - the prime god for all; Devotees pray here for
removal of Viknam (obstacles) in marriage proposals, for child boon and
for good education. Ayyappa devotees from South visit this temple first before
heading to Sabarimala
Lord Vinayaga appears with two hands and without
Angusa pasam in the form of "Artha Padma" Asanam as Valamburi
Vinayagar facing towards north.
The Kozhukattai nivedhana is made from 18
measures of rice on the Vinayaka Chaturthi festival day.

History
This is an ancient cave temple built during
Mahendra Pallava period 1600 years ago. Presently, the temple is under
the administration of Nagarathar community
